This is great to talk with other Phantom Phixers. I was with the 347th TFW at Moody A.F.B. from 75-76. Then I was with the 57th FWW at Nelis A.F.B. from 76-77. I was a Crew Chief. The F-4E was a fantastic aircraft.

This brings back lots of memories. I was stationed at Clark 81-82. Part of the 3rd EMS phase docks. Clark was my first base out of basic. What a shock. I had a great time there. Excellant site. I will check it often. A couple of names I remember are Charles (Chuck) Elliot, Ron Katz.

I don't know if I even have the right to post here. but i was a crew chief in The Blue Screw for all of one year in 1987. I was busted on a pee test and sent home. I feel to this day I let all of my team/family down. Now Im a network engineer working for a software company and am making good money. Ive also been clean ever since. My time on the Clark flight-line was some of the most stressful, fun, and rewarding times of my life. Coming to this page and seeing SSgt Geary brought back even more memories like when he was in charge of weekend doodoo, and we had to raise a down tailhook to tow it to the fuel barn. instead of cracking the valve and relieving the pressure he had 6 of us get a crew ladder, get under the hook and try to force it up. well 5 of us thought it was up and locked and they let go. I didnt and got struck in the head and knocked 5 feet away to the ground. I just had a mean headache and was missing some hair but otherwise i was fine. Since my exit was less than honorable, I got a general under honorable conditions discharge, I feel I dont have the right to participate in re-unions. Thanks to the Webmaster of this site for the chance to reconnect with friends.

nice site you have. I can confirm the Crew Chief image on your site. I was one in the German Air Force on the F-4F and I was the first in GAF who got experience with AGM-65B in the early 80s. Our business was maintanance and weapon loading.

What a great site! Great pics & many names rang bells. I was at Clark from 01/85 to 06/89 working in 3CRS Radar Cal & WCS Mock Up. Left Clark to go to George & the 561 AMU. Got in on Desert Storm & beautiful Shaikh Isa AB, Bahrain. I can look back now & say I'd never change a thing about that TDY. Got out of AF in '92 during SSB. Went to Holloman to work with Dyncorp/Lockheed & the 20 AMU. Left there in '95 to work for Intel Corp. I'm still there. Made the best friends ever through WCS and its nice to see them on this site. Feel free to drop me a line
